Tandem pilot

Description

According to national legislation, paragliding with a passenger requires a specific license. Carrying passengers requires a high level of experience on the part of the pilot, both in hill and mountain flying, and a keen sense of responsibility. Mastery of specific equipment for transporting passengers and knowledge of the psycho-social factors inherent in this type of flight are essential if the flight is to be carried out safely.

The Portuguese Free Flight Federation (FPVL) is responsible for awarding the two-seater paraglider pilot rating.

The UonAir paragliding school is a member of the FPVL and its instructors are duly qualified and recognized by the FPVL and have extensive experience, both as pilots and instructors. On completing the two-seater paraglider pilot course, the pilot is qualified to fly on wings designed for the purpose and can carry passengers.
